Certification' was conceived back in 2003 by the Riverside
Networks founder, where each web page gives an indication to parents
the suitability of content being viewed and the organizations adopting
the service, is demonstrating a moral responsibility in the delivery of
content.

For Web Pages:-
Age 4 Years Plus Universal Certificate 
Suitable for all web pages covering Children's content and non
offensive informative material in Schools and other recognized bodies
for human development and knowledge.
Age 12 Years Parental Guidance Certificate 
Suitable for all web pages with rich media that is 12 PG, Games,
Education and News content services. However, if the service carries
any form of deceptive pop up advertising the next rating is applied.
Age 15 Years Parental Guidance Certificate 
Suitable for all web pages with rich media that is 15 PG, Games,
Education and News content services. However, if the service carries
any
form of deceptive pop up advertising the next rating is applied.
Age 18 Years Adult Sensitive Data Certificate 
Suitable for all web pages that are social network sites or forums,
where in fact you are exposing minors to dangers where sensitive data
is transferred and can be read. Or rich media trailer content 18 years.
Age 21 Years Adult Content Material Certificate 
Suitable for all web pages that cover adult orientated material in
respect simulated 18 to 21 years games. Adult images and written
content of a sexual nature, that can cause physiological damage to
minors.
Information Background
Since 1998 the World Wide Web had rapidly deteriorated in relation to
ethical behaviour of organizations and individuals. Whilst the Internet
is regarded as a free speech platform for democracy and social
evolution.
Regrettably the criminal and the ugly face of human behaviour have set
out to abuse users in relation to spam email and misleading web site
entry listings automatically generated by the World's Search Engine
providers. An issue that is now only starting to be addressed by a few
of these.
However, to preserve the ideals and true spirit of the World Wide web
for commerce, interests and education for social and human advancement.
It is essential that responsible organizations, adopt a moral compass
and standards that reflect how serious they take the protection of
minors and the most vulnerable in our society.
It has been for that reason only and as a parent himself that the
founder of Riverside Networks battled with this problem for many years
and giving his time free to try and devise a system that is not 'Big
Brother', but one respectable legal entities and compassionate, common
decent human beings that developed web sites as enthusiasts would adopt.
The hypocrisy across the World wide web with organizations such
as 'Trust' or 'Verisign' does not provide an ethical solution to the
problems. The only way the World Wide Web can be cleaned up, is with
enough caring owners and web enthusiasts that take the time to
physically evaluate web sites and links. Then to cast out the deception
sites and criminal activity ones.
Then eventually the more responsible organizations take up the mantle,
over time the web will become a cleaner and safer place for commerce
and knowledge.
The 'Trust' and 'Verisign' systems are flawed as again it is
financially driven. One of the biggest offenders for deception over the
years regarding pop up advertising that is a scourge on the Web. This
organization is a member of both and even a sponsor.
As these services demand money, it means again that money can buy
anything, that is not a workable environment to clean up the World Wide
Web. The founder is currently in his own time compiling a white paper
to submit to the British and USA Government with proposals to address
this.
The PGSC System is a free public service program, all we ask is that
interested parties apply, so we can then
grant a 'free license', once
various enquiries and research has been carried out, to ensure the
organization or individuals web site of services are lawful etc.
Coupled to this program has been the release of our 'Parental Guidance Ratings' service
for search engine results. With an effort to promote again, lawful and
enthusiast web sites with accurate ratings and descriptions of web site
entry listings.
